Novagalvia Ltd will be your new employer, a part of the Edward group which is an Irish property development company established in 1982. During that time, we have successfully delivered substantial regeneration projects across the hospitality, retail, residential and office sectors. Over the last three decades, the group has gained a diverse and structured experience in the industry. Our skill set now encompasses deal origination, planning, construction, development management, asset management, community engagement and sales. A particular focus on medium and large-scale projects of mixed-use led urban regeneration, has meant that we have had a transformative and positive impact on the landscape.
We are currently in the process of hiring a qualified Financial Accountant on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and finalise statutory accounts for several entities within the group
- Liaise with external auditors and respond to any queries to manage reporting timelines
- Prepare monthly management accounts including accounts payable, Balance Sheet reconciliations, payroll, and VAT preparation
- Prepare management reports cashflow projections for monthly meetings with Financial Controller and Directors
- Review the monthly and fortnightly wages for several companies for onward submission to our payroll provider
- Prepare funding drawdowns for onward submission to bank monitors monthly for several ongoing development projects
- Prepare and manage annuals budgets and cashflows for several group companies
- Responsible for ensuring accounting files and archives are maintained
- Review of VAT and RCT returns before submission to Revenue
- Responsible for Cashflow Management for the group
- Review the option for an automated accounts payable system
Key Competencies
- Hands on and willingness to deal with all aspects of the role
- Attention to detail, accuracy, resourceful, analytical, and follow through skills
- Strong Excel skills required
- Ability to complete projects/reports within tight reporting deadlines
- Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Qualifications and Experience
- Qualified Accountant, (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with minimum 2 years post qualification experience
- Experience in the construction industry is an advantage
