We are looking for a capable CFO seeking a role in a challenging, fast-paced and rewarding environment.

Duties and responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:

General Responsibility

The successful candidate will work directly with and report to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and will liaise and collaborate with the other members of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT). The CFO will have overall responsibility and accountability for the finance and legal function across the group.

 

Essential Job Function

  • Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and as a finance leader to the business providing insightful and value-added analysis and decision support to the Senior Leadership Team of a growing and innovative organisation.
  • Provide strategic leadership, direction to, and oversight of, the entire group finance function.
  • Lead Inorganic Growth Initiatives including identification, assessment and recommendation to SLT on strategic targets for consideration.
  • Source appropriate funding to support sustainable controlled growth and ensure matching from a strategic timeframe perspective.
  • Ensure the group is adequately capitalised to fund both operational working capital requirements and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Support the CEO in ensuring an appropriate efficient group corporate structure is in place to facilitate growth from legal and taxation perspective.
  • Direct the preparation of, and evaluate and approve the quality, accuracy and integrity of, all relevant financial reporting across the group, encompassing external annual compliance requirements and internal actionable insight reporting on a daily / weekly / monthly / quarterly basis.
  • Responsible for ensuring best in class group wide control environment is maintained and enhanced over time through a robust, articulated, and clearly understood system of Internal Control.
  • Responsibility for maintaining the Group Risk register including management, enhancement and oversight to ensure all known risks are identified and appropriately mitigated.
  • Develop strategic initiatives to identify and implement new business opportunities and enhance the performance of the existing business.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial models to critically evaluate strategic growth initiatives.
  • Promote and implement technology enhancements that result in high-quality outputs and value creation.

Legal

  • Overall responsibility for ensuring up to date fit for purpose contracts in place for all customers with reciprocal contracts with 3rd party vendors as appropriate and required.
  • Collaborate with CCO and in-house legal to negotiate  terms with new and existing customers to ensure appropriate measures are in place to manage risk.
  • Overall responsibility for all corporate legal matters and litigation including but not limited to contracts, trademarks, licences, and corporate transactions.

 

 

Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified accountant, with at least 10 years’ experience in. with experience of operating in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Commercial experience in customer negotiations, appraisal and execution of investments or divestments.
  • Experienced in stakeholder relations (bankers, regulators, auditors, internal stakeholders)
  • In depth knowledge of corporate financial law and risk management practices.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills.
  • Business strategy implementation from concept to conclusion with strong business partnering across multiple stakeholders.
  • High people and change management capabilities including being able to work cross-divisionally on an international and local level.
  • A strong commercial acumen with the ability to lead and influence others.
  • A passion for coaching and development of top talent within Finance.
  • A track record of successfully leading and delivering innovative projects.
  • Systems focus and ability to embrace technology to deliver improvements and efficiencies.
  • Demonstrated capability in driving and implementing continuous improvement.
  • Strategic and growth mindset, who will add significant value to the strategic agenda of the group and advance our strategic goals and objectives.
