Senior International General Ledger Accountant:

Working as a part of a high performance international accounting team, the role will revolve around the month end close process, but will involve a steady stream of fresh challenges as the company evolves. The position will report to the International Finance Manager.

Responsibilities:

·        Complete month end close, under US GAAP, to tight reporting deadlines for a number of international legal entities.

·        Preparing supporting work paper and reconciliations for key balance sheet and expense accounts

·        Prepare financial statements

·        Prepare bank reconciliations

·        Ensures all Intercompany accounts balance

·        Managing the completion of the annual Statutory Account filings and financial statement audits

·        Aggregating data and assisting with ad hoc reporting requests

• Supporting VAT and Tax compliance requirements
• Identifying and supporting the implementation of ongoing systems developments
• Manage the relationship with outsourced professional firms

Key requirements :

·         Five years + Post Qualification accounting experience, hold a professional accounting qualification with  experience in GL Accounting or similar working in practice on industry or technology companies

·        Detail orientation and exceptional organizational and communication skills

·        Strong communication skills, both oral and written

·        First class academic record

·        Exceptional analytical abilities and strong MS Excel skills

·        Working knowledge of Oracle or a similar ERP system

·        A proactive, self-directed approach and the ability to learn quickly with a drive for continuous improvement

·        A high sense of urgency and the ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment

·        Flexibility as we continue to evolve processes and job responsibilities

·        Knowledge of US GAAP reporting

·        Knowledge of international statutory reporting

·        Experience in a finance shared service center with an international remit

·        Business fluency in an international language is an advantage.
